I'm posting this again 'cos I think it got lost as a result of the recent hack. Note that this app does rely heavily on Shared Objects (>300 Kb), but only to store some rather bloated arrays.

My favourite loop style is Soul Breaks - you can select this from the top right drop-down menu.

It's a veritable Frankenstein of applications, so credit due to any third party bits and bobs that may have found their way in there. There's more information in the readme.txt file and in the top layer of the FLA.

You MUST change the floopURL variable in the FLA (top layer), else you'll be uploading files to my server. Uploads in my demo are disabled, so, if I start to get requests for unauthorized files from my server due to lazy buggers not changing this variable, I'll simply take the source code down. You have been warned.

Oh, and the synchronisation is a bit tighter when you run it outside of the browser (standalone). If anyone comes up with a sample-accurate method of playing, stopping and syncing loops, please do feel free to get in touch. Till then, you may find manual triggering better.

Very cool! Some mutes would be cool (I may just not have seen them) and the ability to record what the user is doing live to create an actual 'song' would be sweet.

I vaguely remember playing with the Mixer sample that came with Director8, but this is a lot tighter, and much more fun. I love the levels of user interaction you have thought of. Recording and playing back macros is heaps cool, as is the ability to swap between mixes... mate, I have a gig coming up, and I might just ditch the bass and turn up with my lappie and Floop!.. lol

I've seen similar applications, but I think this is one on of the smoothest I've seen.
