why is this blue?

The link isn't dead, copy and paste it into your url. Hmm... Ive had that happen to me once, i don't remember what made it do that, but i think it was because the files were hidden, protected, etc. Sorry i couldnt help much

I'm not sure exactly, but it does that on my XP as well and I believe it does that to files that have been inactive for awhile. Some of my old flash FLAs have turned blue after awhile. Of course I could be wrong...

i dont think thaqt has ever happend to me, and i have had XP from not long after it came out...

copy and paste??? :!: click and drag and drop!!! wheew my heed almost popped ;)

its for encrypted or compressed files. You can turn that option off in Tools > Folder Options... > [View] - some checkbox in that list
