hey im going out today to buy a cpu heatsink from canadacomputers
because my cpu is running madly hot at idle 45c and maxium 50+c
so i decided ill spend like alot of money getting one so price isnt a factor which fan looks like the best ? and does the socket really matter? beacause
i have socket a and there are almost no socket a fans? why would the socket type matter?

Socket means what the kind of slot the chip fits into.... I have no idea though what socket A is as most of the sockets I see are like 939, and stuff like that

45C is OK - most processors give up completely above 60C and Athlons are normally OK - it's Pentium 4 that need looking after!

I have a zalman heatsink/fan and I really like it. They're quiet and efficient. Check them out...I think they're supposed to be one of the best.
