glad I held out to see the results. tomshardware (http://www.tomshardware.com/2006/07/14/core2_duo_knocks_out_athlon_64/)runs it down with the new benchmarks and how it outperforms the Athlon FX processors. I was close to getting the AM2 4200+ last week...now the new intel core 2 duo E6600 is cheaper and looks to blow it away.

Tweaktown has a great set of benchmarks too.

Keep in mind that AMD will be massively cutting prices just before the release of the new Intel Conroe chips.
