Well seems like more bad news for PS3 I really hope all this negative news about the PS3 is just to have people talking about it for the end users sake not Sony.

erm erm King of Tabloids, grimdeath...
I don't even bother paying attention to these anymore, it's not out yet, all systems have problems before and after they are released no console ever had no defects when it first got released.

sure every console has problems at launch but this many without even launching yet worries me, heck the only negative thing we've heard about the Wii is that the name change let me see what else oh yeah that it might ship a month or 2 earlier wow thats some really bad news

I just want to see it work first.
After that I don't really care which has to be payed threw the nose or not.
Got my PS2 when they hit 150@€ and that was because we wanted a dvd player for the living room that allowed some games to be played...
I've never bought a game that isn't platinum so I can't really say I'll ever buy the PS3 because I really have my doughts about the TVs in my house making a diference in watching High Definition Videos from regular TV.
Sony might still launch the greatest Console ever made, but it might also be too expensive to be sold, although I still think that Japan will sell out all PS3 on the first day no matter what you hear or read.

I wonder how many game companies will convert to nintendo and 360 because of this. Then PS3 will have no good titles.

im actually waiting to buy a 360 my brother has it , the games are still lame in my view, i hope nintendo resurfaces as a major player. NINTENDO vs SEGA days were the best...

I agree.
 Even then I had both. I've never been a dedicated fan to any one console. They all have thier advantages. I Bought the gamecube, original xbox and a ps2. I'm just stupid like that.
I really do hope the PS3 does launch a great system. If they do i'll so buy it. Just the bad to good ratio of rumors is really making me question the heavy pricetag

I won't be buying it. The only way I would get one is if it in some contest.

The cost of porting a game from one console to another would be little compared to the possible profits from sales of that game. Most game developers will release their titles for as many platforms as possible, unless they have made an exclusivity deal. :)

i'll still buy one regardless of the bad press it gets.
heck if a story said the motion sensing thing in the controller is likely to fail 3 outta 10 times (just an example) i'd still buy it.

Another story about the PS3... :sure:
On my behalf, if it performs as good as the 360, I'm gettin' it, if it's better, I'm gettin' it... if it's worse... I'll be gettin' it as soon as FFXIII is released
The Wii is a sure buy once it's out too :P

Even if it sucks, here's why I'm betting on the PS3 - My Atari 7800 console, that my mom got me when I was 3, still works. My 8 bit nintendo still works, when it wants to. My SNES, N 64, Genesis (w/ 32x and sega cd!), saturn, original game boy, pocket GB, GB Color, SP and DS (I know they're new, but I subject my stuff to mad abuse), as well as my PS ONE, all still work! Fine!
I never got a PS2, I spend more time on the computer (and just play my friends' cuz I'm cheap), but the lemon piece of crap X-Box that I got in late '02 does not work. The laser's fried. I put Morrowind in and get about 3 steps before I see, 'the disc you are using may be dirty or damaged'. X box 360 :m: be damned, It's not worth my money. I have faith in good ol' 3rd party developer-stealin', it-works-if-I-tilt-it-on-it's-side, product makin', racist-ad-producin' Sony. and nintendo, just because I'm still hooked on Fire Emblem for GBA (emulator practically required) and GC, and Advance Wars. Besides, Nvidia's making the GPU so it can't be too bad. Anyone seen the FF VII intro, redone? It looks just like Advent Children. Sick!!!!
Speaking of advance wars, Someone PLEASE help me figure out why my animated GIF won't export. Iknow, I posted a thread about that. Noone's answered it yet.

Ha, the console most likely to break down on you, or rather, stop reading your discs, you never got - if you had gotten it, you probably wouldn't be betting on the PS3.

Sorry to see such bad things happening to the little system. This must be why they are trying to get more sales pumped out of the PSP. The cells are pretty nice pieces of tech from what they say they can do and with their size they are fitting a lot in a small area hope they invest in a nice fan.
I'm just hoping they are doing something to keep that lazer clean its the largest problem that they have (note these are some fancey readers a tad more advanced so I bet they did keep back primitive troubles like disc errors).
... What ever happen to those one games with the those anti scrach black covers those thing sadly worked pretty good a very long time ago.

I'm not a real big fan of The Inquirer, which isn't to say that I don't think Sony's screwed themselves over a bit (I was a Sony fan for 2 years, now I'm just done with console gaming), but I don't trust anything The Inquirer says. Or The Register.

Intel would have a hit squad sent off to deal with production execs if one merely cracked a joke about 70 per cent yields, and I can't see how 40 per cent will ever make the PS3 economically viable.

I would buy the PS3 because PS2 has always been my trusty companion since 01 or something. It failed once reading discs, but it was my fault :thumb: somehow don't remember how I messed it up.
If you check a random selected store there will be lots of cheap PS2 games, there will be a few XBox games and all are expensive. There will be a few GameCube games, well, Mario, Mario, Mario, Mario... price isn't expensive but the stuff isn't something I would want.
So, I'm a Sony-supporter, I would buy PS3 regardless of all the lies spread about it.

I hope the PS2 games drop in price... Our local Blockbuster has sliced all xbox1 games to about 50dkk (less than 10$).
Unfortunately, they jack up the XB360 games
