PROJECT: would you liek to be a part of it lol

newyas, whats up guys, currently im working on a huge project lotl agt may just take the rest of the summer or long for me to complete alone XD. so i was wondering if anyone here on Kirupa.com would liek to be a part of it.

neways know that you wont get paid(atleastright away) and that the project once completed will be a freeware type program to the public. lol now before you go and make an rash decisions please atleast read the ext paragraph.

what the project is going to be is an online RPG/Game Creator
users will be able to make their own games then share them with the public(with consent of an authorized site manager of course lol). the games that users will be able to create are as follows:

RPG, Mario Style, Tile Based Shooter, Side scroll Shooter, and pretty much any other type of game that is able to use tiles.

but first the only type of game im looking fo rhte user to create would be a rpg style game, the others would come later.

what the idea is that with javascript and php h the user can create a map, and quests and add NPC's anything that would be inside of an rpg type game. from there php would create a "resource" file(a file with actionscript or a .swf with the tiles in it) these will be loaded into a game engine and a user should be able to play their game.

I duno if im making much sense here, lol but i try.

neways the basic idea behind this website is to give anyone who wants to create a game an easdier chance.

of course there will be an ingame code(a code that w will create that will then be rendered by php and turned into actionscript) that will allow the games to be much more dynamic.

further more what i guess im trying to say is im looking for well accomplished flash developers who are interested in help creating the flash engine's for the games. i have started one but it is flawed still and there needs to be alot added on. I am well equipped to do serverside scripting and im not all that bad with javascript either but, when it comes to actionscript and game physics lol im still learning.

looks nice, only downfall i see is a 99X99 map, isnt exactly what you call a huge map :hitman: unless your not gonna be doing much, atm im working on a friendly tilebased engine that has no limit to the amount of tiles you can have in your map, and only loads the tiles that need to be seen, the engine is nice but the graphics suck i need to find someoen that will do some freelancing for my freeware ;/

BTW: i like the map editor itself and the game won't show up :O

nah dont worry lol i just did that so i wouldnt accidently put liek 999 in there and overlaod the javascript, dont worry though i already have a plan to make the map suz unlimited, plus you will be able to just add single rows an columsn too instead of having to resize the entire map. you'll be able to switch rows, and w/e really.

IDEA: you could have a website with all the user created ideas and if a map get rated 0 too many times it gets deleted :P

By the way Im doing that my project in Flex 2 and I can only recommend it. Flex is great for application development and Eclipse is also a good workspace to work in. :)

Flex is great for application development and Eclipse is also a good workspace to work in. :)ill deinfitly have to check out flex 2 and eclipse deinfitly. nah lolt he original intent of the map editor was to be able to make maps for a game i was goign to create, it was goign to be massively multiplayer and the maps would be kind abig. so i wanted to make somethign with php and javascript that could ocmpile the resource fiels that i had made fo rmygame wiht me having to go in and hardcode everything. then i decided to swithc my focus over to a site where users coudl create their own game sinstea,d and then from there i woudl work in the MMORPG portion of it.
