Hi,

I'm in the process of making a simple game where the user has a hand with a object in it and the objective is to throw it into a hole (which is farther away from the hand of course).

I'm trying to gather up ideas before I ask for help on the script. First, what would be some good ways in allowing the user to throw the object? I'm looking to have at least two methods they can choose from before they start playing, such as spacebar power throwing control and a mouse thrust for example.

Thanks. Hopefully this thread will be a successful one filled with ideas!

have you played gunbound before? it uses either the 2 methods,

so if the user have played a game that has similar function, he could
opt for any of the 2 method to throw, spacebar or mousecontrol

is it 2D or 3D? if its 2D, it will be easier for the user to judge how much power he or she
would need to use to throw the object
t
to make things more interesting , you could change what item to be thrown
or make it more challenging by putting wind effect that can drive the throwing object to
x or y coordinate. or snow or rain.

you could put a hand animation but the person uses space bar, same goes to mouse

==========

spacebar

if the person hold longer, the power increase
however when it reaches to the max, it will loop back to the beginning, charging the power
just like when it first press space bar

Thanks for your inputs. I've played GB before and yes I've had the space-powerbar idea already. I'm thinking of wind as well.
