I am not price shopping, and am looking for someone who knows his stuff inside and out and can do what I need done. The site will be approximately 10 pages, however each page looks the same, and I will write out all the info. I am also looking for a matching business card and add, however this is not needed. Please PM me, Email me (gideonsylvan@comcast.net), call me at 847-337-5665 , or simply respond here and let me know your fee, and experience.

Thanks,
Gideon

What do you mean by ad? Print? Video? Flash banner?

Is this a PURE flash site or are some elements flash? :)

Let me expand on my site wants and needs. It will be mostly HTML, and I will no longer need other stuff done, that is something separate I can do with whom ever I work with on another day. I am looking to spend under $350, but I am willing to go up, depending on the skill level. It would need to have streaming audio, and one day streaming video, a search function, and a place for people to sign up for an e-mail newsletter (as well as other fill in the blank type things).

Let me know,
Gideon

What is a normal price? I got this done www.gideonsylvan.com for $200.

Alright, start throwing bids at me, because I don't know what a normal rate is. I want to point out that every page is the same layout, so its only one design once, the rest is copy and paste.

it is actually a matter of who is going to do the best job for the best price. Honestly I think shell rips people off major. 350-400 for something that basic wouldnt too bad, maybe a tad more, but of course thats not knowing too much of the details, if you pm me more exact details of whats involved i can thus give you a better estimate.

and yes, with http://www.gideonsylvan.com/ you got ripped off the source is horrible.

**That's that it seems to only be client side, it will certainly increase with server side, or any non-html/css code required. It will be subject to variation depending on how much flash stuff there will be also

Honestly I think shell rips people off major. 3Like I said Gideon, you pay for what you get. Are you expecting to work with a professional or a child who insults other freelancers?

As for source: you site has 14 errors: http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.gideonsylvan.com%2F
Yahoo's has 262 http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.yahoo.com&charset=%28detect+automatically%29&doctype=Inline

It seems to me that your source is better than Yahoo's. Now does that seem so bad?

By the way, your site has less error than nathan's site. He has 21 errors: http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.n99creations.com%2F&charset=%28detect+automatically%29&doctype=Inline

Do you really want a guy with more errors on his site than yours giving your critism?

Honestly guys, it doesn't matter; I don't even know what an error is. Does anyone have a fax machine I can send my design to and give me a quote?

lol you can't say he got ripped off because his site doesn't validate. I have yet to find a non-web-savvy client that wants a xhtml valid site. I don't think messy source means he got ripped off either.

If he is expecting quality like the site he showed then he can probably get someone to do it for that price. But like everyone else said, you get what you pay for, and if you don't then you don't pay the second half of the budget:lol:

Totally amateur in here, that includes you too Shell. And Nathan, i know you said "personally, I think" but that was a little too blunt dude, save it for the Crit./Showcase forum:D.

Oh, and for the record, the amount of errors in validation is irrelevent anyway. If it works in all browsers well, it's fine. Shell your starting to sound like Nokky:lol:

He/she has found a developer already. Hopefully someone from the board. After the project is complete, please consider posting in the "Finished Jobs" section. That is my feeble attempt to bolster the traffic and jobs to this area. Also post in the Showcase area.

Thanks for stopping by for your design needs.
