I sometimes come up with all these ideas and than I try to pull them off on a blank Photoshop screen.
I start with a black background, and then I do not remember painting the rest.
But it is not done.
So comments are appreciated.
Thanks...

Thanks.
Well how I started the dragon and kid is this:
1. I draw the outline on paper.
2. I scan it.
3. I re-sketch it in Photoshop and fill it with black.
4. Then I start lighting, colors and all the effects.
Any suggestions are welcome.
edit
I did a terrible mistake about the lighting of the wings. Because of the strong light of the moon, it is impossible to see most of the splashes on the wings, so I fixed them.
But, still, it is not about how it is supposed to be, it is about how you want it to be.
I think the dragon, drake call it whatever you want is done.

Wow man, that's beautiful. Do you use a wacom or plain mouse? It should be really hard if you use mouse. Man I wish I was any good at drawing.

Sometimes yes, it is hard to do it with mouse.
But as I told you, I first sketch in on paper and than go over the outlines in photoshop. So, these are not "actually" drawn by mouse (other than the mountain, clouds, sky...)
I try to find a way to use laptop's mouse pad as a smaller and downgraded version of wacom but, I haven't found a pen or a stick that will make it work.

I've tried that with a lot of things and it just works with finger.. it's weird... lol. Same as the iPod scroll thingy.

The moon in the background really caught my attention.
great effect there. is that also applied effect?

That is airbrush with different brush styles (I created most of the brushes to paint the moon).
To have the round look, I applied spherize.
And the glow is the gaussian blurred version of the same moon.

Oh..
No, the resolution is meant to be like that.
I belive if I had done it with a wallpaper resolution, it would totally be a different image.

Beautiful! If I had some picture paper I'd print it out and hang it up on my wall! Exiemente! (My version of exellent.) That is absolutely amazing.
