how do i use 3ds max 7 spacing tool? it is supposed to evenly space objects, but somehow i don't know how to make it work... thanks in advance. =)

edit: nevermind, i figured it out. first make a spline, path you want the copies to take. then click on the object you want to copy. then goto tools, spacing tool. enter how many copies you want to make, and enter distance, select the spline by clicking select path button in that dialog box, and click apply then close.

i was accidentely selecting all 50 objects and doing this, that's why it wasn't working out... :beam:

You can also shift+drag your selection and set your number of copies which will create your evenly spaced objects without the need of a path object.

If you need to use a path just select all your objects to align and apply the path deform modifier. It gives some extra control from the spacing tool and doesnt divide your selections.
