... All I can say is what the hell.

It's stretched, cut out images placed on top of other images. It makes no sense...

And the music keeps clicking. Oh, and I can tell that you've slowed down a song alot to make that sound. I think.

There's a meaning behind it?

No, I didn't get anything. I did think there might be loads of subliminal messages, though :P

the idea was to play whit a effect
thats all at a visual level

behind that, what i try to do, is to show that the first surface of the things we see, its not enought

perhaps its not well explained at the video, i repeat, its my first project
now i wanna work with video, mask, and this "3d" effect

the song is Glosoli, from sigur ros - Takk.
i take 4 seconds and expand it to 1 minute

i don't get it. with your explanation i think its a little too much of a "artsy fartsy" product(as my friend would call it). by that i mean you may have had a message, you may have had an intention but it almost seems like a bull**** explanation.

the 3d effect is lost once the first image skews to point that it separates.

personally i think if you wanted to present this you would have to have a design brief explaining it... and if you have to have an explanation because it can't stand on its own then it isn't strong enough yet.

PS - the "first time" excuse is a cop-out you don't need to be defensive in any way, this is a forum for critique so just take the comments under consideration and make the changes you feel are relevant.

AE is capable of far more than this so play around and see if you find a new style or nitch you can expand upon.

good luck

I think for a first go your investigating some techniques that when they are done right they amazing, but if you push them a bit too far they soon become unrealistic. I think that happens a few times, with the sign and wooden shack. I personally don't see the meaning within the video, asking for a critque on your use of effect will probably be more benefical. Ideas are important, but as your first go feedback on your skills/technique would be better.
