No price has been given to my knowledge but lets make a few things clear, alot of people are talking about the HD-DVD player not having a HDMI port for true High Def graphics but Im sure MS will just release a HDMI compatible cable so this could be taken care of.

PS3 stripped version doesnt have a hdmi output maybe they can make a hdmi cable as well so these are things that could probably be fixed in the future.

By not having HDMI output Blu-Ray and HD-DVD movies will be downsamppled to 1/4 of the original quality.

Cool thing is since its an external drive you could probably use it on your pc since it is USB kinda cool but Im not looking forward to HD-DVD nor Blu-ray, DVD is just fine by me :thumb:

I'm hearing $199 - and considering there aren't many movies out I won't be getting this for a while ( a long while :D ). At least until it beats out Blu-ray or vice versa.
