hi guys today rogers cable came along and changed my phone line to a huge line that is the same as my tV!!>!>! the box has a ethernet cable and he said that is for future internet use i was just wondering if he is lying and i can acutally use it but it is just a higher speed they dont want us to know about u think so?

It's unclear to me why you would ask that in Source/Experiments...
But... I have my 8 MBit connection coming from a jack next to the tv-jack, it's been around for a few years now. Later this year they'll try upgrades up to 100Mbits.

All phones will probably go digital within a few years, and no, there's no way to gain more speed.

if you have a separate internet connection, it is possible but not easy by any means.

Yeah, if you know how to hack a modem, then hack the cable company's servers, g'luck.

If it is indeed another internet connection, you could use load balancing software on a gateway server to manage it, but it all depnds on the cable companies configuration. They may be using the old style of cable network that everybody shares, but if they are indeed allocating bandwidth to connections, the server thing would work, i've done it with my cable before.
