Hey I'm currently building a new system and i've chosen a decent processor at a reasonable price and I was wondering if anyone knew any Motherboards that would go with this processor. I'm looking for something at an average price that will run well.
Processor Here (http://stores.tomshardware.com/search_getprod.php/masterid=849924/zip_code=85086/)
Thanks in advance

If you look at the detailed specs, it says:
Processor Socket: Intel® Socket 478
Which means you got to get a 478 compatible motherboard.

...plus a bottle of liquid nitrogen to cool the that chip, and a soundproof room to put it in :P

any suggestions??
yeah.. thats another problem.
i found a way to cool it down at www.tomshardware.com for only like 15 bucks :) .. something about dual airflow from both ends

Dual airflow is really just standard, beware that processor will cook your room when it throttles. Especially since summer is coming, watch those temps. Anyways, back to your original question. To find your perfect motherboard, you need to know what you want. Ex. AGP or PCI-X, speed of RAM, PCI slots...etc.

hrm.. this is gonna suck cause im in arizona.. its starting to get atleast 98 out now and during the summer its going to be about 106.. So yeah I guess i'm gonna have to get some of that antifreeze or something to cool down my PC a lot.
I'm not quite sure what the AGP and PCI-X do except that they're involved with graphics right?? Cause on this video card I bought a while back it said something about AGP x4.
Yeah another question.. I picked out a nifty case that I liked but i'm not sure if it will keep it cool/silent. Could you guys reccomend any decent cases that will keep my computer silent/cool thats around the $50 to $125 price range?

Yup, it has to do with graphics, so depending on how much your spending on the graphics card. As for your case, look around on hardware review sites.

If you're going to spend a couple hundred bucks on a processor...why not go dual core?

Slap on a nice Zalman heatsink/fan and you'll be set.

You definitely don't want to go with a socket 478 processor. When I was looking around for a motherboard for my socket 478 cpu it was very hard to find one with PCI Express, which you definitely want. So I decided to get one of the amd dual cores.
The new vid cards use PCI-Express, that's why you want it.

When I didn't know much about AMD other than there was another company called AMD, I would have probably chosen what you chose being it is 3.2Ghz. Trust me, purchase a dual core AMD x2 3800+. I can't help you with the motherboard other than it's going to be either a ASUS or Gigabyte. You need 480W at least for Power and a EVGA Geforce 7800GT would do nicely.

Don't get an Asus. Im having so much trouble with mine. I've had 2 die on me. And their RMA process takes over 2 weeks, even thought hey say 10 days.

I have to admit, don't do ASUS ... I liked their boards till 2 of them failed on me in the time span of about 6 months ... I went back to Gigabyte which has never failed me ever.

Yeah I had a Gigabyte that lasted 2 years and then I replaced it with the crappy Asus.

Personally I'd say go with the Core Duo if you can, or a nice dual core AMD.
Then after you know what you processor and socket try to google for thermalright, zalman, thermaltake, noiseblocker... And reviews for each of the ones you can find at your local stores.
I don't use Farenheit so your temps mean 0 to me, but where I live the temps get to 45ºC and beyond in extremelly hot summers so I can't risk the Netburst architechture again.
If you value your silence get an AMD, get a XP 90-C, noiseblocker 90mm, artic silver paste. It's not as expensive as water cooling, but it is quite silent.
To beef up on silence get a passive heatsink for your GPU instead of the fan some bring.
Remember to clean the inside of the pc with a brush every 6 months or so with the help of a vaccum cleaner to suck the crap out.
I've had little problems with motherboards. Even tho I have an Asus A8N-E and have heard a lot about crappy Asus.
Pentium is a very hot machine! You'll need case fans to keep it cool if your temps are like mine. I had one and I switched to AMD because I love my silence.

My current PC was built about 2 yrs ago and I am using the same ASUS P4P800 er something, it has been solid. I have been reading some bad reviews on their newer mobos, and when i build my new AMD, i'll have to get a gigabyte board. so i personally havent had a problem with asus...but thats with their older boards.

Id love to build my own dual AMD, however I want actually 2 chips not the dual core maybe dual dual cores lol. As for heat problems turn on the air conditioner man god lol. Seriously if you want quite and cool running AMD 64s are very nice thats all I own now and when you aren't doing much you can hear a pin drop, then it hurts your ears... :d:

...or just do what I'm going to do: Stick all your computer boxes on a rack in the next room. That way you can stick a gazillion high-powered fans in it and not worry about the noise :)
