I've decided to make a change from my beloved Avant Browser to Opera. I've tried to change to Firefox several times, but I've always returned to Avant. I have a good feeling about Opera, I think it's gonna work out! Kirupa.com looks a little wierd though... And it's soo much faster than Firefox too! Not really a difference between Avant and Opera in speed...

Yeah opera has so many features over the rest and the new beta has widgets, ftp and bittorrent clietns integrated into the browser I'd say its the most robust browser out in the market.

Kirupa looks just fine on my opera dont knwo what kinda problems you having it might be something due to your skin dont know.

I used it for a long time. Only thing I didn't like about it back then was that some pages looked odd.

Enjoy Opera, it really is the best browser. Fastest, best standards compilance and just neat all around.
Info: Opera 9 is the only browser apart from Safari (I think) to pass the Acid2 test.

does someone know if there's an hotkey for changing between the tabs? In avant you pressed ctrl+up/down to switch between them. And I'm not having any real problems viewing kirupa, it's just thinner.

Use ctrl+tab ;)
Opera is set in such a way that you can do everything you want to do in it without even touching the mouse.

No, it's WaSP's test for browser compliancy with Web Standards.

And yes, of course I see it perfectly. What would you expect? ;)

ya3: the acid2 test (http://www.webstandards.org/action/acid2/) :P
edit: Nokrev beat me to it. Damn you!

I used Opera for a while. I still have it, but I don't like the way downloads open in a new tab. That's about all I don't like, really. I can't remember why I started using Firefox...

Neat! :)

I try to use the mouse as little as possible, at least now that I only have a laptop. That's mainly why I like avant browser... And now that Opera can do the same thing, I'm a happy man! :s:

why the hell did this suddenly move to cookies?

You know I'm using Opera on my Mac... and I don't see the appeal... it's not faster, doesn't have "more" options worth using. Oh... and not only that being a member of GettyImages... you can't download their images due to an illegal process produced by Opera... lame.

I used it until I found out it has some annoying css issues, and they added way too many fancy graphics to it. If I wanted fancy addons that were pointless I would switch to Netscape or go back to IE.

I used opera becuase firefox would enjoy(i really think it did) crashing on me(edubuntu linux 5.10), and running IE on linux is illegal i believe, so that left opera, which i now use on windows and enjoy very much so.
