hi i have a crt moniter and i keep getting stupid red or purple lines across the screen mostly when i have alot of white on the page weird. when i tap the mointer it goes back to normal wuts up with dis

ive only had it for like 3 months ...
i degauss every time i boot up ;)

Then take it back to where you bought it. It's faulty.

yea if degaussing doesn't work, and tapping it does... sounds like something's broken.

Try a different cable… my monitor is screwed up when I use one cable specifically. It's a broken cable. :D

that's what I was about to suggest, nokrev stole my thunder, yep either a lose connection or faulty cable.
