I'm working on a new layout for a website, since the earlier version got murdered in the Site Check. hehehe.
I took all the adivices given to me in that thread.
Please tell me what you think! :)
I thinks it's better, but maybe that's just me...
The earlier one is:

Any progress?

the font in the main body isn't a good font.. try using something else. and also, it the text and images looks squished. try not to make it so cluttered. and try not making the firey images so washed out. if you let them be bright red and orange, it will attract the eyes.

it kind of still looks greyed out, but much better IMO. And it still looks a bit squished.. try and fix that .. and I think you got something.

I grayed out the firey thing to the right... 'cause I want the attention to go first to the left side.
Does it look a little more spaced now?

you need to get in there and do some serious kerning... remember that god is in the details. those paragraphs are VERY awkward to read, and the uneasiness created by the spacing is very distracting.
good use of color however, and generally a good first draft, just keep making it better!

I agree with the leading and kerning thing....Looks like the biggest run-on sentence in the world but the design is pretty sweet.

on my display (1024 x 768) the site is SLIGHTLY too wide, so there's a scroll bar along the bottom which moves about 1 cm :P
other than that it looks like a good start (-:

please refer to this link... I put the layout in an HTML document... so you'll be able to see it as I intend (1024 X 768).

I'm pretty new at this, so excuse my inexperience, but... what do you mean by kerning?
Any suggestion on how to manage better my spacing?
How can I make the paragraphs less awkward?
This forum is very very helpful... Thanks for any help you can give me (and what you've already given me)!

kerning is the space between the letters...right now yours are very close making it hard to read (if I were able to read spanish----well I think it is spanish) if you wanna do it with style sheets (css) put this in your style letter-spacing: 2px; or however many pixels. Also right now to the right as you get into the higher res. yu have this weird image repeating thing going on.

Ok... I edited the kerning! hehe
Is the text less awkward now?

Oh, and... what weird image is repeating to the right? I see it like it is supposed, but maybe it's my monitor...
Could you send me a screenshot?
Thanx!

It looks good, but scrollbars show up on the bottom and sides. My resolution is 1024 x 768. anyways, the up and down arrows on the main screen are mixed up. :smirk:
Other than that, the text is a little squished together, but i think it will turn out really nice and origional.:)
