Hi.
I use a laptop and have designed this, but I think I may have gone nutso with the noise.
How does it look on a regular monitor?
Thanks lots :)

Melissa, it looks fine. Not sure what you mean by noise

The noise tool in photoshop.
On laptops (well, mine, anyway) I can turn it right up and still barely see it.
Thanks :)

Oh, that noise, well yes, the noise detracts from the metallic appearance on should see on the hood of the car

Ahh okay, thanks...will fix.
And while you're here, does the background look washed out and a bit crappy?
thanks

On my MacBook screen I can clearly see a lot of noise. It definitely hurts the appearance of the car.

Using my desktop pc the cars looks great. I think the left side has alot of buttons, can you make it more simple? :thumb2:

I agree, but the buttons are what my client wants. It is being built for auto workers who are generally spooked by all things techy - especially web stuff. Therefore, after lots of research, they decided that ALL nav has to be immediately visible. When each button is clicked, ALL sub nav must be visible.
Not my choice, but it's one of their specs and they won't be talked out of it (I have tried).
Thanks :-)

Noise is there, but that's not the significant problem. Clearly, you cropped the car out of an existing image, and the solid border; with the stroke/outer glow, really shows it. I would suggest you get rid of the glow at the bottom, right now the car looks like an "image" and you are aiming to make it look like a real "car."
what car is that? looks like the lexus is but it has a toyota symbol, yaris? corolla? camry?

theres a tad bit too much noise(makes it look non-metallic) but it doesnt look terrible

Hi, I think it's a Yaris. Or some other toyota. I dunno. Cars are none of my business
I messed around with the colours quite a bit, the original was a hideous brown (poo-brown to be precise).
Thanks for the feedback on the glow etc. Will fix - having looked at it for a while now, I think the glow on the bottom has to go too...
We'll see what the powers that be have to say (-:
Meanwhile, thanks everyone for your help.
