ok, I'm guessing your kinda new to flash because the site is just a couple of tutorials from Kirupa so I'm gonna say....its not bad, but you got some work to go

when I say not bad I mean that as a newbie you've done a couple of tutorials and thats the way you should keep going. tutorials, tutorials, tutorials, more and more. Some good ones here as well

http://www.actionscript.org/tutorials.shtml

what you need to work on is the design because there isn't one here at the moment. you need to notice what makes some flash sites work and why others don't. from what you notice you'll start to change some things of what you see....from this will come your own design, your own design voice

how many threads on here say things like "i saw this effect, how do I do it?", this is how to become a better designer and developer. Explore the web and note what you like and what you don't

a couple of tuts is a good place for a newbie to start but it's not really your first site because it's just a couple of tuts, this isn't your own voice. do some more and browse more sites. good place for ideas is SOTW/M competitons around the web and agency portfolios

good luck

Thanks! I just stated it as my "first flash site" because it's my first attempt at following a long, gruesome tutorial. (no offense tut makers, good job :thumb: )

I'll be looking out in the help forums for new effects, thanks! :pleased:

There isn't much to critique really. So far two of the three sections work. The works section has a levels problems as some of the random circles are generated over the text.

To improve, you could continue to build this site and use it as a base to test new things. Grab it by the horns and claim it, as RabBell says, don't be limited to what your skills are in flash, plan out what you want to do , then find out how to achieve it. Somethings might be too much or over your head, but it all depends on your aspirations for the site.

Most flash sites will call in data externally, be it an swf, txt or xml file. This is purely to make updating it easier for the end user of the web designer.

^i agree with unclesond, especially with this paragraph:

Just keep on going with it. Get rid of the vibrating balls, those are annoying.
