I need to know if there is any way to tell the difference between NTSC and Pal video formats because my DVD burner won't let me burn both to one disc.

After I find this out, I would like to know if there is a way to convert one.

Thank you

PAL runs at 30fps and NTSC runs at 29.97fps US standard, PAL would run as distorted on any American television. Only way you could really know is if someone told you or its in a comments box

There is also another diference that is just as important as the fps...

The NTSC and PAL have a diferent amount of columns and lines.
The exact numbers are unknown to me, but I do know they are diferent.

This is why is distorted, not the number of frames per second.
Common so it's slower by 1 frame every 100 seconds... So what?!

There is no way to tell what is what unless you count buying them from a specific country. Like the US or Portugal. We use in PT use PAL and the US use NTSC.
Video appliances have their regional choice inputed into these, and the videos must comply with the standarts.

Computers have no problems telling one from the other as the number of lines of the display are made by software.

Wikipedia might have more on this subject.

Ugh...

For standard-definition:
PAL: 720x576 @ 25Hz
NTSC: 720x480 @ 29.97Hz
