you are definatly going to have to fade the bg image but it looks good :)

Your quote kind of get's lost in the whole thing.. maybe put the section in the green as a white font...?

I cannot read the text in the banner very well - you will need to increase the white background's opacity.

I love your new menu - very nice. Is the base going to be like a "flash news ticker" cause that would be a great idea. Also, have you played around with the idea of having your menu on the left side of the page? It's just more natural for viewing...?

All in all - this layout is much nicer IMO and great work so far!
