little MC scroller (MX)

i did a search and nothing answered my question

i have an MC on the main timeline with 7 other MCs in it all forming a horozontal strip, i want this whole strip to move left and right depending on where the mouse is, and slow down when the near the edges of the large mc.

each of the 7 mcs lead to other html pages when clicked and have animations of 3 jpgs fading into eachother

i hope ive made this clear

heh, ive used this before... i feel so dumb..

another thing i was wondering... is how to get the effect that lostinbeta uses for his site navigation...

where when you click on the link, it scrolls to that one, with inertia

I'm pretty sure Lost's site is done with javascript

yeah thats all done with javascript and its not supported by anything other than netscape as far as I know, and I don't know how to do it.
