Macromedia aquires CyberSage
Macromedia are currently buying up companies and technologies that are making good use of their products.

Cybersage itself has not been bought, but their technology now belongs to Macromedia. CyberSage have been mentioned at Flashmagazine several times for their great products FireFly and FlashDoc. Firely is a set of components for connecting to data sources and manipulating data from them. They have now been repackaged into the Macromedia Flash MX Data Connection Kit. Macromedia has not announced any plans for other Cybersage Software products such as FlashDoc at this time.

It is interesting that Macromedia is hiring staff like never before and are buying great products such as FireFly and Breeze. Most other software companies scale down these days, but Macromedia does the oppsite. Macromedia will release fourth fiscal quarter and fiscal year 2003 results on Wednesday, April 30, 2003, at the close of the market. Our guess is that the numbers are looking good

yep. really! :P

It started as a program called FutureSplash... this (http://www.macromedia.com/macromedia/events/john_gay/page04.html) is a very nice article about the history of Flash.

ColdFusion, similarly, was made by a different company called allaire, and was merged/purchased with macromedia.

It is the developer version that i have. I can't afford the full version, neither do i need it, I just use it for experimenting :)
