You gotta give credit to swish (http://swishzone.com/) for being what it is. ITs by no means Flash or up to that level, but its a 3rd party tool that does a pretty good job at cranking out Flash work. Livemotion (http://www.adobe.com/products/livemotion/) would be THE product to compare to Flash (and it has been)... Flash 5 at least.

Hmm I have tryd both swish and Flash and for animation Swish - but for cool actionscript and other cool stuff FLASH !!!

But how do I know if im new and Swish says that swish is good and creats cool animation in seconds and flash says that flash is the best program in the web and many people uses it ?

flash is far superior. I'm not sure anyone can argue that.

Swish is fine, I guess, for quick little "canned animations," but I'd
prefer to do it myself. Quick isn't always the best or highest
quality way.

Besides, there's something to be said about creating everything
in a design for yourself.

swish dosent come anyway close to Flash. I know that swish has some nifty effect tools for text , but seriously they are overused and can look tacky. Yes swish it pretty helpfull if you are creating some flash banners, but by no means better than flash in any way. :!: Flash all the way :beam:

Sorry about that before, lol, i'm kinda tied, had a big day, anyway, yeah back to S-W-I-S-H . I remember when it first came out, i remember seeing so many sites using the text effects and it just got boring quick, i wont deny i used them on my first site as well, but only on a preloader.:-\

swish is for people that have no knowledge of flash, flash well is the big daddy of web animation, alot of people use swish because they dont understand how to use flash i know a guy that uses swish but his animations look choppy and its very limited as to what you can do and originality, but it's easy to use

flash has everything swish does and then some

so hands down Flash all the way baby

P.S. flash will not die it will evolve what i think they will do next is incorporate a 3d engine into flash or maybe some of the more advanced techniques that director uses, or maybe merge director and flash into a whole new product
