This is something I made up couple of months ago. The hand needs a bit of re-working. What do you think?

Well it looks quite flat- the linework doesnt define the shape as well as it should :)

try some cell shading and make the outer line of the character black :D

varying stroke widths as well. Not a bad start but it needs massaging

Yeah, I think I need to thicken and round the lines a bit. They look a tad too sharp. There does need to be some more shades and lighting on it. What did you exactly mean by cell shade? ( I feel dumb by asking this question)

Stroke weights and more detailing... Well actually a lot more detailing... Especially near the stomach and around the head... Give appropriately detailed highlights to the fins as well.

The pre-sketch is very proportionate though, except for that hand :P :lol:

Stroke weights and more detailing... Well actually a lot more detailing... Especially near the stomach and around the head... Give appropriately detailed highlights to the fins as well.
