Here is my entry…
Ideas – visual & multimedia magazine.

Background:
The need for educating designers, bridging the designers with community and industry.

Cover concept:
The apple (represents knowledge, wisdom & creativity) is being stalked by the snake (represents media), whereas in today’s technology, the power of originality in creativity is very important and needs to be protected.

Nice. Only thing I see that's gramatically wrong is the "Win THIS cool prizes." Easy fix, but as far as the layout goes, I really like the angles, and how they match the pool cue and all. Very cool concept with the snake and the (C) on the apple. My only other critique would be that a lot of your headline text isn't kerned: "ANIMATION," "PROTECTING" and "FRUIT" look slightly off. Other than that, looks awesome. Very nice use of lines to seperate content, and I would certainly buy this magazine.

I like everything except the way the s in ideas is cut into. I like how you're using squares to cut into everything, but I think it'd look better if it followed the form a bit more. Also the illustration might be a bit much to grasp without your explanation, not that it really matters, just nit picking. I like it a lot though :)

wow, this is very simple yet very lovely. I love how the parts missing in the "ideas" title kind of exemplifies the viewers input of thought. in other words, an idea. well that's what i see, im not sure if that's what you were going for, but it deffinatley works!

the way i came up with IDEAS was to me ideas are something that always growing and still incomplete, thats why i made it that way.

Or the singular "win this cool prize" given that I can only see a picture of one baseball cap.

I just wasn't sure about the 7, until I counted the fact that there are seven Flash FX's named. Not sure that it helps placing it in a separate box as your eye doesn't automatically relate it to the rest of that text.

But very good though. I would've had second thoughts about creating mine if I'd checked out the talent on display here :thumb:
