I am about the finish our school's festival website. I hope some people would like to help me, and make some constructive comments
____
After some recommendations, I improved the site three times. However, i still have some questions.
1) should I add more animations?
2) is the loading time too much?
3) does the site need sound effects?
4) is it working too slow?
other comments are also welcome. ( At least say something, they encourage me a lot)

1. The Yellow border may look better as a different colour - ( TRy a grey or black? - its a great compliemtary colour when you have bright colours)
2. Add a bit of white space ( eg the flower logo needs space between it and the circle border) - Also maybe some spaces between the yellow border and the buttons
3. All the content is a bit big, eg the nav buttons, logo, and pop up box - It will look a bit more professional if you reduce the size of all of these in the design as a whole. ( TRy it it youll see what i mean)
4. Its very different! and kinda interesting
With a bit of tweaking from the guys over here, im sure youll nail it on the head :)

I think I agree about the yellow, it seems to be a bit...... bleugh!!
I find it annoying that when you rollover a button, they go down instead of up. I think the one that you hover over should go up rather than down.
I think it would look better with some kind of background instead of just white.
And I'd also align it to the middle, horizontally and vertically.
I like the logo.

logos cool and I actually like the yellow, for some reason it, orange and brown are the colours some designers steer clear of and I love when it's pulled off properly...I say keep it, goes with the sky pic too
I feel the red and purple tabs seem a bit cut down. Think we need to see the edges hidden otherwise it does kinda lose the tab effect
agree about the tabs sliding down, I'd make them go up
few tweaks but looking good and please keep the yellow :thumb:

Indeed I was inspired by
http://www.tattooricardo.pl/main.htm
for the line animation. I dont know any easier way so I did it frame by frame...

I fixed some bugs from the last version. Also I added a moving background.

Do you think I need sound effects? or would it be extra size?

Sound fx would definitely enhance the whole experience but it depends on the bandwidth your target audience are on.
The moving background could use a bit of smoothing and mouse easing
Great work though! :thumb2:

OK I will try to add sound fx.
Also I understood why some computers cant see all the site properly. It is because of the flash player. I think you need flash player 8 to see website properly.
