HI, I have a quick question. Is it possibel to blur text in flash with out using photoshop or text offset. Or can you for example blur a whole movie script.
thank you,
Susi

It really depends on what you're doing with the blur... If it's a static image that you want to appear blurred, then I think you'd have to use Photoshop effects. If it's a motion tween that you want to seem blurred, you can increase the speed etc to make it look that way. :)

grab your monitor in both hands.. shake vigorously.. there it's blury.
:)
ok.. I'm just jking and that wasn't too helpful. I think Kit is right though.. if you want a blur that looks like a blur, and not just a low production movie, you'll need to do it in photoshop or some equivilant program.

The best blur you can get in Flash is if you create your text, break it apart into fills, select it, then go to Modify/Shape/Soften Fill Edges. This does make it a bit more CPU intensive though, because of the way the fade is set up, and its more of a gaussian blur then a speed blur.
Otherwise... no, you can't do it in Flash alone.
