in the second picture, what is used? nurbs or what? i'm asking, because whatever it is, it gives nice curves to an object.

Splines....then from those splines you do what is called patching. Then you get that nice curved dense mesh.

hey DDD, can you please explain that in a bit detail? i'm still trying to learn it... thanks. :) i drew a nurbs curve, and applied surface CV. is that how it is supposed to be done? oh i can also refine, delete or insert rows, cols, or both, which can give nice curves...

so if i've and object in x-y direction, how can it get some bend in z dir? thanks again.

edit:
i think i've figured it out by myself... create new points, and get it to a shape by moving the points... then to change the z value, just drag the z-arrow and move up or down... i think i'll have a very simple thing created by tomorrow. :)
