axiasnowboards.com/boards (http://www.axiasnowboards.com/boards)

a redesign of axia snowboard's board builder. i was responsible for most of the look of this site and i reskinned this builder despite my lax flash programming skills. i'm anxious to get some good hard criticism on this thing.

so please please please rip this thing to shreds!

thanks

here's my list:

-logo in top left looks terrible: bad antialiasing. (on the boards page)
-navigation is boring: at least make the words change color on rollover
-snowboards are cut out very sloppy
-increase your framerate: needs it BAD!
-everything is just a little big. the website as a whole and the graphics used inside.

in the board builder:
-quality of snowboard at the top is bad: blurry and bad cutout

i really like the torn paper and little charts n stuff: keep those.

Everything haam said and....

All the images look really scaled up. It could do with some higher res images

Also the top nav bar shrinks for some sections. I'd make it consistent, I'd make all the pages the same height too. Get some consistency in the layout of where things are e.g. title, text, images etc...

The "story page" looks really out of place, it needs designing more to fit in with your other sections.

- logo is terrible
- i hate the scribble motifs
- frame rate way too slow
- highly pixeled cut-outs. Suggest you do one neat mask, and repeatedly layer that over your graphic. Don't try to do cut-outs unless you can do them consistently.
- generally most images are rasterised
- the red directive links are not clear. I was always stumbling for what to do next, where to look.

Otherwise, conceptually pretty nice.
