Logo Opinions?

its for a catering company my friends are starting up. its going to be my first client.. plus I got stakes in it too :D

so, thought's and opinions?
i was gonna add the iran flag, but it didnt really fit.. i duon.

i personally prefer the second one as the first is too empty and doesnt really fit, the second is nice but i would change the colours but remember it is about what the client thinks and nobody else, but yes the second one is better :)

The first one i have seen something very very similar before just cant think of the brand. The second one kinda looks like a wall street journal header. But the are both good those are just the first things that came to my mind when i looked at the logo. (Which is very important since first impression.....well you know..). The second one however I do not think is branding enough.....But I do like the first better out os the 2 maybe make the "Q" a little bigger than the rest of the type or bold it.
