hey guys i was just wonderin' about which cable will give you a better image? S-Video or the Y Pb Pr (Yellow, Blue, Red) cable? coz my DVD player has both connectors but i want to get the best video quality..so which cable should i buy?

The component video cable (Y Pb Pr) will always give better quality, assuming your TV supports this connection.

Iv always found S-Video to be crap, the quality is always really poor when I use it...

Also, I don't think the type of cable matters. I bought a 3 ft monster (http://www.monstercable.com) s-video and audio cable for $25 and a $3 regular copper plated set from ebay, and I can't tell the difference between the two. But for some reason I use the monster cable.

I have a Monster Cable to connect my stereo to my computer, it's awesome even if it is a bit pricey.

yeah both my TV and my DVD player supports it. it's a Philips home entertainment system by the way...coz the default cable is the (Y R W) the one that's being used by PS1. i just wanna maximize it's features so according to your comments guys...im gonna buy the component video cable (Y Pb Pr)..thanks guys :beam:
