I'm really digging this. I love the big image look with a little bit of info overlaid, so you've already sold that bit to me ;)

The bleaching, burning out transition works really nicely. However I'm not to keen how the box afterwards appears in the corner then moves the middle, seems a bit of a waste of time, slows everything down and by the time I open the 3rd section I'm bored of seeing it move like that....I think if the burning transition just ended up fading into the boxes final position would appear nicer. Maybe the frame rate could be tweaked up a little bit too.

The intro to the site's main downfall. After you've seen it once, you really need a skip intro button :P - Maybe the intro needs a bit more design, maybe not, it looks a lil stitched on compared to the rest of it. Maybe it could add some of that burning/bleaching effect to it, but then again that might overcook it.....I'm not sure. If I think of anything I'll come back to you

The title/headline font is quite different too, never seen that one before, I'm not that fussed about it style, but I prefer it lookswise if the first letter is bold and the rest regular (like you splash page), but you have it the other way round (in the site).

Keep us posted on the development, I like this a lot.

ur intro is very long. best to add a skip intro button. The site is really nice as posted above. Some parts dont contrast as much and i really have to skew my eyes a little to see some things.

But really ur site is great i like it.:D

That's a pretty good start.

As mentioned above intro... skip... good.

Not sure if that "logo" is experimental or the official one... but it's poor. Just some stock font... no creativity to it.

The transition is tight... but the way the content comes it is horrible. Get rid of those boxes all together and just place the type in there. Similarly with the primary navigation... those boxes just don't work there... and it actually may not be the boxes, it's just the font used is a really bad choice. Use more stylizing in your typography and I think that site will be bangin.

As a suggestion... to play on the compressor thing, I'd make the preloader compress in from both sides or somethin... the preloader in each section though... that's sorta outta place too, with that grey box around it... would look better just as type w/o that box.

The logo, It isn't a logo, it is just text what says 'the Compressor'

The site is my expirirmental site, the real deal is comming soon. Skip intro button will be added in a day or something.

Why do you guys think the typo is that bad? I think it's good readable, and it fits the round corners of the site as well.

Well me personally I think this type of site can be more creative instead of using incased typo. Looks like the quick reply box in these forums if you ask me.

I don't really think that because the font is round that it fits with rounded boxes. If you want to keep the font, keep it... but I'd still suggest breaking the text out of the boxes, to me they seem extremely forced, they just really break up the design IMO. On the front page though if you extended the boxes all the way to the bottom or somethin... maybe even graident masked them a tad bottom-up it would be a little better.

i like the transitions, but not much else. i dont like the intro (is english your primary language?), or the font you've chosen for the logo or body text. i think the menu system is uninspired and empty, and i don't like the rounded boxes in this design. the transitions are really cool, though.

EDIT: it's probably not a good idea to write on your work "this is what happens when you're bored and you fiddle around and poof, there it is" i mean, it's cool that some of those things are sketches, but don't call yourself lazy. just find an eloquent way of saying that it never got done.

No, english isn't my primary language. I am thinking of adding some real intro with effects & such.

About the info on the artwork, do i need to give a deep insight on how i created something while i was just messing around? Don't think so.

Since almost everybody said something about the font choice, i am looking for some others, but it will be a tough job to update the whole site..
