sexy GIF edges

When I download images from my forum such as smilies, and go to edit them everything goes well. But then I save them and enable transparency and everything just goes down the crapper.. I don't know how the files on the forum keep their nice edges or how to make it so mine do either.. It just doesn't work
Is there a way to enable partial transparency and stuff?
I have no idea what to do

P.S. I'm using photoshop

i use 'file -> save for web'.. i never had any problems with 'edges' :)

gif wont allow partial transparency. Either it is, or is not...
Be sure to uncheck all the antialiasing option in PS, screws up pixel art...

I've never had problems with edges either... use clean sharp edges.
