Hey I just bought a new deck for my car. And it has the ability to read mp3 cd's which means I can put like 300 mp3 files on a cd and play'em in my car. With nested folders and everything. Has anyone did this? I cannot seem to get it to work tho. In the instruction book it doesnt really describe how to do it. Just says you can. From Nero do I have to make a .iso file or something? Has anyone did this with their car stereo?

Just burn them as data to the CD.

Yeah, those are awesome. My brother had one a few years ago. Just dump the mp3s into folders, if I remember correctly.

Sebby my friend hes not burning an audio cd hes burning a cd for a mp3 car stereo in his case he has to burn it as a dat cd and just put the mp3 files or folders as he would make a data backup cd.

Good luck I have a kenwood mp3/wma car stero its awesome its like a ipod car stereo without the ipod :thumb: had it before ipods were mainstream :beam:

A friend of mine has the coolest car stereo ever: 12 disc DVD MP3 changer....do the math.

Wow :thumb:

But… wouldn't it be easier just to bring a 60gig iPod with? I'm not sure if it holds quite as many songs… but I'm sure it'd come close.

just create a data cd DDD and put the mp3's on that you don't need to choose iso or audio etc you could actually do it just using windows cd burner software just copy and paste the mp3's onto the disc :)

I've toyed with buying a mp3 player cd reader for my car but I just don't drive far enough to warrant it :(...oh yeh and my car is a right piece of crap too  it would look totally out of place :(

like a ipod is'nt expensive heck the new 2gb ipod nano is almost as expensive as a car stereo and it only plays mp3s, at least you can listen to satellite radio, radio and mp3s and most high end car stereos are dvd/mp3/wma/sat radio/radio and movies

And last but not least you cant compare the quality of mp3s versus original cds with high end sound systems :-/

But you can take your ipod with you so thats a added bonus ;)

I agree with all these points. When I am rolling I love to listen to my music really loud....and you cant beat cd quality. Plus I have the built in satellite radio.......I chose sony because my car is going to be sponsored by a sponsor that is sponsored by Sony so hopefully my xplod deck does not explode.... :p:

To be honest, I'm one of those people who can't tell the difference from complete crap quality and the best in the world. :thumb:

Because you dont listen to music at high decible levels ie: car system where its very noticeable.

I didn't buy my iPod, I got it for xmas.

And yeah, you can take music and video with you wherever, i'd rather have an iPod than a new car stereo...

I would like a new car stereo tho, I just cant afford it :fight:

Sound is best appreciated at room ambience volumes. You are better appreciated when your car is at rediculous volume levels...:)

Ohhh I love Mustangs, which ones do you own?

My personal favorite is probably the 1967 Shelby GT 500. I also like the new 2006, looks pretty awesome.

I have a 67 coupe, 1993 cobra, 1992 Convertible GT, 1987 Convertible GT, and a 1989 McLaren. The 1992 convertible is the one that was featured in a mag a while back. I wish I had a shelby *cha-ching*
