Hey all,

I'm working on this site for a granite importing company. I'm liking how it's turning out, but I would just like some feedback.

I don't know if it's just my computer, but why doesn't the load bar show up until around 85%? Is there any way to fix this?

Thanks,

1. The fonts totally don't go together.
2. The rollOut behavior on the samples is really annoying.
3. The colors don't work.
4. The title bar says "home3"
5. The links don't work (this may not be an issue)
6. Too dark and boring.

Sorry you had to hear all that :D keep trying.

hey, I can understand.

1. do you think I should try a more "foreign" looking font? You see, I don't want to make it look cheesy and foreign just because this granite happends to be imported from India. This stuff will be used to make expensive table tops for mountain-retreats and stuff like that, so I wanted the font to be kinda modern looking, you know what I mean?
2. should I replace the rollout with a click release?
3. Its hard to find a color scheme that matches varying patterns of granite... suggestions?
4. only because I haven't changed it yet.
5. Haven't programmed the links yet.
6. How should I make it livelier?

I appreciate this

1. The fonts do not need to be "foreign" looking. Make them clean, elegant and most important of all, don't mix crazy fonts, one is usually enough. I would probably go with an attractive Impact, even some Geneva.
2. I would prbably say draggable 3D looking samples, maybe with some ease
3. I can see your delema, i would stick with something lighter at least.
4. cool
5. cool
6. Give it some personality, I have no idea who their company is, do they have an image?

so, the small samples would be draggable, and then what? the big image is a completely different image from the small one, so i cant expand/ease the small one into the big one. I like the dragging idea, could you kinda clarify that?

Ok, I think i know what you mean when you talk about using 1 font. Do you think i should stick with the italics, or the other font that says "Indias Finest Granite"? I like the India's finest one, personally.

Also, the company is very new, and no logo has been developed yet.

If anyone else has anything to say about it, feel free.

large text = gross
top left of page positioning = gross
title bar = home3 not good
background = bad , try dark! not light
dark background will show contrast between granite samples

I have to agree with the others. Not the best choice of fonts. I also found the mousemove over the large image to "return" not only annoying, but confusing. Took me three times before I understood I had to leave my mouse still. I'd change that to an onClick event.

I was also expecting to see some type of labeling for the thumbnail images. You don't know what it is until you view the larger image.

Not much content there to explain what people are looking at, e.g. descriptions of each type of stone.
