In case you haven't seen it (hope this isn't old news), the new I-am-God maxis game:

Looks promising ! It's really sad to know that the procedural game characters have a better bones/model/skin than you can actually build with a nice 3d app.

I wasted hours and hours on SimCity2k and this is going to be way more demanding !

scheduled for Q4 2006... that's not too far if there are no delays.

The more complex the game the more delays. Expect this game no sooner than late 2007.

I first saw a video for this game almost 2 years ago off the Xbox365 forums and it was in effect the same video.

I am not sure this dosn't scream "vaporware" to me.

Thats amazing doubt i'll play it but it does look fun. The little creatures can look like humans-pizza da hut.

Well, I imagine my current computer will not be able to run that game, so maybe delays aren't a bad thing, as I can't buy a new machine anytime soon. haha.

I really hope it's not vaporware tho...

If you look at the demo, there isn't a trillionmillion shaders and all that 3D mumbo jumbo so hopefully the gfx requirement won't be more than probably 64MB, but I'd imagine the processor would take quite a hit because of how much relations it would have to process and then send out. Definitely lookin forward to it.

There's a heck of a lot of alpha and lighting effects it looks like though. And it does look like it uses a fair number of shaders, which would make sense with the whole "procedurally created" theme to the presentation.

probably one of the few games I really look forward to. This and halo 2. I can't wait.

Where the hell have you been for the past year and a half?! Halo 2 is already out, son! It's the most popular game on Xbox ever!

Napoleon Dynamite "GOD", thats funny. A lot of hype around this game here, looks cool, I hope they can follow through with it.
