Adobe Flash

Does anybody know if Adobe are planning on making an Adobe Flash? Maybe flash 9 could have some sort of plugin so you can apply photshop filters to vector graphics/moviclips in a similar way that photoshop and AE works together...

Thanks Seb...I made use of you link to say:

"As macromedia is now part of Adobe I think it would be really nice if in a future version of flash there could be photoshop plugin that would make use of photoshops great filters/effects. This has already proven to be a VERY popular feature in flash 8 and would be great to see this taken further."

Personally I think that's a horrible idea. Flash isn't meant to be an all around app. they've already implimented the neccessary "filter" effects into Flash that they need, adding more to it like what you've suggested would make it a bear and a horrible prog IMO.

I personally do not like the idea of further filters in Flash. They run slow enough on older machines as it is, I don't really want to see more sites with BlurFilter Text scrolling...

I'm not talking about making flash & photshop 1 programme but more like having the option to use features from one in the other. For example I'm a part-time music producer and use some software called Cubase...theres a function in there that lets you open another programme called FruityLoops totally separatly but they work together.

I would like to open flash then photoshop (2 separate progs) and have them intergrate a little better than they do at the moment...

Ah, I think I understand. Like Flash's current 'integration' with Fireworks. I doubt that would happen, unless Adobe decides to scrap Fireworks in the future.

Ye I cant see them dropping fireworks anytime soon but photoshop is SO much better than fireworks it seems pointless having that rather than photoshop.

Well, until then, you can always choose Photoshop from the Edit With option in the Library. haha

EDIT: Speaking of which... does anyone know if you can set Photoshop as the default editor within Flash like you can in Dreamweaver?
