This is just testing out a black velvet furniture set.
How is it?
Any suggestions?
Any Critiques?
Thanks :D!
Edit: There's problems with my server right now

its pretty nice, but i woudl have said it was black matte plastic from the look of it. its hard because there's no close up of the chairs, but to me it just doesn't look like velvet from here. Perhaps if it was a traditional sofa shape (i.e with cushions and stuff) i would have thought so... dunno.

It's really cool! But at first glance it didnt strike me as furniture... more of miniscule objects beacuse a) the background makes it look like a table and b) theres no objects to compare its size too.. that might help a bit)

Liked it very much, though I think the fabric might just as well pass as wool. But that would be hard to tell even on a photography, wouldn't it?
Also, it looks like dollhouse furniture (high class that is :+)), because the floorboards look to big.

Thanks for all of the comments.
And take to mind, this is a wip, so I'm still going to be doing a lot more things with this, and I might just put this, with a different color, into the My Studio scene that I posted a little earlier.
As far as the velvet goes, it's a velvet material. Should there be cussions on them? just to make them look a little bit more like actual furniture. Or should I just make some indications in it so that one would really be able to say that it's velvet?
I'm thinking about adding wooden "railings" along the sides of the chairs and couch, and also adding seams to this.
Any ideas?

comfy smooth looking chairs. i think it might be hard to tell that the material is velvet because the view is so far from it. maybe a closer view?

It doesn't really look like velvet right now.
I'm almost done with a complete room set up, just have to model a coffee table. I'll have the final rendering posted later on today, if not, then tomorrow. But you'll all like the results :D.
