ok....its been aaages since i submitted my site to show n crits....i think i've been through two flash versions since i last posted...i'm concentrating on 100% valid XHTML+CSS right now (falling in love with the combo)....technically it has some issues .....so right now i just want to know wot u think on the design side....i've tried my hardest to make it pixel perfect in both IE and FF so unfortunately its probly not as pretty as it culd be....

i started again from scratch this evening, and this is my result:

www.chirhodesign.co.uk (http://www.chirhodesign.co.uk)

let me know what you think....if you can help with my technical issues then please tell me! they're driving me mad!

My technical issues are:

in FF, images on my blog page have padding: 1px; and then a 1px border...in IE the padding dissapears...dont know why
i want a 10-20px gap between my footer and the final entry on my blog page....i cant get it (tried margins and padding)....i culd do it by "id"ing that specific pages footer and doing a relative positioning
i've gone through about a dozen tutorials, but i can never get my php contact form to work...if sumone could help with that then id luv u for ever! I think thats it

Thnx guys!

Looks okay. Id lose the gray text, really hard to read. Increase the size. Also, I am a bit disturbed about your one site you did for yourself... Ill never be the same person again! :P Not too sure Im feeling your whole Gray thing there... Bit too plainish for me.

Also, to fix your padding problem, just add 20px of padding to the top of the footer div....

Not bad, except the gray is pretty light and kind of difficult to read.

i like pale grey txt, but this really is too light. the necklace and photo are all you focus on as the rest of the page just blurs into 1 as its too light! could not even be bothered to try and read it.....

Right, i've darkened the content font.

I've also fixed my footer, image and FF/IE problems.

(using a "<meta http-equiv" solution, which keept 100% XHTML validation, but dsnt mess up the site in IE)

The one last thing i need to do is fix my php contact form. I guess i can try another tutorial and see if it works this time (13th time's a charm).

let me know wot u think guys.

p.s. i also finished the links page
