Well I made these to portolio and I want to know which one is better.
Also soon I am going to add rollover effects to the buttons and also when it goes to another page there is going to be some animation.:smirk2:
Also give me some advice on How I can change it and stuff.

Err… both have terrible aliasing, no content, and to be honest, the stars look extremely amateur.
Keep trying. :thumb:
(Sorry for being harsh… post something other than your own site for once, and you'll finally have something to put in a portfolio.)

I think that you should stick with flash, there is no reason to say "oh, this site is simple, do it in HTML", the best flash sites out there are the really simple subtle ones...
The thing is, you need to come up with a concept, there is no use using that background for the sake of it, you need an idea behind it...
Perhaps when you click on one of the buttons the image pans accross to show more of the "scene"...
or as you browse the site it goes from night to day, or the site changes depending on what time of day you visit it, also I would suggest embeding in an HTML page when showing your work, SWFs are scalable and often show the work at the wrong scale,
I hope this is of some help mate...

i would lose the blue, or THAT blue. When you use a color thats close to its primary, its tough to find a color that works well with it.

yea I was thinking of not building a portfolio cause well noone is going to hire me so I am just going to browse sites and read some books and try to learn.well, u shouldnt expect clients unless u really think you are good!, but yeah browse sites posted here and others and try to be inspired by them. the first thing i would suggest is to try and recreate the graphics on their site, it helps a lot!

True. Everyone needs a starting point with design work. Emulation of other peoples work has always been something that has really helped me progress with flash, wether it's coding or design work.
my first published work - http://www.stagestruck.co.uk/ (Flash Only)
some of my latest - http://www.metroradio.co.uk/article.asp?id=168534
I'd suggest you pick a site that involves some of your interests and then try some emulation of bits and pieces until you feel you can comfortably recreate techinques... Good Luck!

i think it's a great start. the skater seems kind of unnecessary though. and the stars (the moving ones) are a competing with your text. maybe scale them back? or alpha them back? i like stabiloboss' idea of panning in a larger scene, that could be nice. anyways, nice start. :thumb2:
