This is the first draft of a poster that I'm doing for a friend. He is running for student office at a local university. I was just wondering if I could get some opinions on it so far. specifically with the type treatments.

Just to let you know some of the guidelines I was given were to keep it real simple, not have more than 1 font, clear, and convey key ideas.

Thanks in advance,

Hmmm, i feel that maybe the word "elect" should be bigger, cause you want the people to elect him... and why the color black on the word "for"? Otherwise i like it. :thumb:

I put the word 'for' in black because I wanted the position to be associated with the name a bit more. I figure that might help it from further away.

there's something wrong with the curving...but i like it as it is. But what if the pic isn't monochrome? maybe it would look better

it will be printed as a two color poster. Its either monochrome with black or blue. I thought if I did it in blue that would totally be overkill.
I'm not too sure what you mean about the curving.
