this is my first ever attempt at 3D. I am posting this now, cos I think I need to start over, and hopefully the things I have learnt from this one will help the next be better. what do you think for a first try?

Why are you starting over?

Are using splines or polys for modelling? Post a wireframe of the pre-smoothed mesh. Hard to tell poly flow with a smoothed mesh.

Its done with polys, and I'm starting over cos I think the edge loops need changing a lot. heres the pre smoothed

If that is the beginning stage you are working with too many poly's. Also there is alot of useless geometry (ie. the seam of the car and hood). Post one of your beginning mesh. Good start tho.

looks like a good start. What are you using as your references?

I am using some pretty poor blueprints found on google, and about 50 reference photos also from google. I am kinda stuck on where to go from here, other than a bit more fine tuning of this basic mesh.
