Hi

Who made this website?

http://gzone.jp/

I love the 3D and I need something like that for a presentation!

If you know someone with the skills to do something like that send me a PM.

I "could" do that site, and when I say "could" I am suggesting I would charge a ton of money, maybe more than it's worth.

3D modeling work takes some time, and there is a lot of 3D work in that site.

Thanks man. I am one of those "1 man show" types and although I think I know all the programs and processed needed to recreate that.....

It would probably be stale as XXXX by the time I was actually finished.

Sweet intro...I do believe that water effect is a "motion2" effect.... if its not, u could closely emulate it with motion2 anyway ;) elegant site either way :)

There are a variety of plug-in's for 3DsMax that can generate water droplets, I assume if you could get your hands on a copy of Maya you could whip this out.

I don't need a website I need someone that know how to work with 3dMAX and make a cool intro for me maybe 10" if you can do that let me know or post your bid at: www.rentacoder.com under 3D animation you will find my request.

I could do it for $2.77 and some paper clips.....

JK.......I too would charge a pretty penny for that. Funny I was messing with realFlow yesterday at work and created a similar splasking effect.....nice site. The main thing is the animation, the modelling is actually easy.

"easy" is a bad word....should I say not as complex as one may think. But definately not beginner material.

Just as a guess you are starting at around $3000. 3D work is rare on the web, you very seldom see it outside "portfolio sites" such as TokyoPlastic, the dev. cost is just too prohibitive. Even for the site this thread is based on. I think I could have delived a site with an equal impact for less money and time by avoiding that "third D".

I could do it for far less than 3k.....For a 10-20 second animation using one subject isnt like do a 10-20 sec animation of robots fighting.... But then again I have a low overhead.

And I wouldn't do it if he had an unlimited budget and paid in Maxim girls. I don't know why I ever got into learning 3D modeling in the first place, i'll never use it.

That said animation run time is a good indicator of what I charge for a 2d animation but has NO bearing on what I would charge for 3D.

Think about it, once you did the models what is the difference between 10 seconds of movement and 1 minute of movement? Not much.

Tell me what the models are and the level of "realism" (poly count) you would like it to exibit. When working in 3D there are so many different points to consider.

What if he wants a mesh deformation, like a close-up of a face yawning, that could take forever.

Too much to consider without the EXACT specifications of what he would want.
