On my first day, i didnt know where to go, or when i had lunch. I was confused, asking teachers where the room is, i was a mess. I didnt really like high school, but now its awsome, besides all the work. I also didnt know any one there, because none of my friends from my old school went. it was kind of scary, but it was a big change coming from a school with only 200 kids. Now i think that there are atleast 500 kids in the freshmen class alone.(-: :) =)

high school does suck - mostly because of the attitudes of the kids and the social situation. Its wretched. I was even just explaining this to my half brother on the phone yesterday lol

My first day actually wasnt bad at all. My middle school was right next to the highschool (built at the same time, probably no further than 400 ft away from one another) and we often went there for certain events, so making the transition from midle school to highschool was virtually nothing - just seeing a few faces in the higher classes you might not have seen in a while. I did have a crappy time going to a new highschool my junior year though - that royally sucked. Going from the preppy wiggers to the country hicks was a nerve-racking experience. I tell you one thing though, the level of education was at a much lower level there and I never got below an A in any class whereas in my previous HS I was getting Bs and Cs. I found my niche in some potheads at the new school and we had a ball. The 230-crew. lol we 'ruled'.

high school is like the best time of your life, trust me when you get old and have all these bills to pay, children to support and work its no fun, you basically have no time to hang out and chase girls :( enjoy highschool as much as you can because those are the wonder years and the best time of your life do whatever you wanna do and have no regrets enjoy life its to short and time passes by very quickly

It depends who you are to classify HS as the best time of your life. Id say only about 15% of the people I went to school with really had fun and enjoyed themselves. Most of them were the jocks or preps. Then you have your poindexters who studied all the time - but of course got into good schools and made something of themselves now, then the depressed goths - though I dont know if they were considered goths then... the people who wore black and were just depressed about life... then the people (like me) who got picked on a lot and school was just a pain). I had my friends but I was short too - one of the shortest people in the school (one other kid was shorter) so I was a prime target for the 'bullies' ........... at anyrate, college blew HS to all hell. It was a lot better.

OMG. my first day of highschool was very very terrible for me. OMG. when i came through the main door that was the bigining of it all. i found so many ppl and the school was big. i did not know what to do or where to go. i asked a teacher where was my first class and i couldn't find it easily. when i went there lucky for me the was ahmed's sister to help me. but for the first time in my life i felt so lonely. in my lunch time i was so confused i did not know what to do or where to go. again lucky for me there was a guy who i met earlier and he intorduced me to ahmed. so i spent my time with ahmed and talking about how did he come here to canada and all that kinda stuff. i dont denie it i was a little afraid. so my next class which was the wrost. i had math. i didn't hate it becuase i am not good in math it is just that the teacher looked scary and on the first day he gave us homework and i couldn't solve a thing. i was worried about how am i going to make it here. as soon as thins day ended i hoped i die on the way home cuz i did not want to live except at home. i hated canada so much that day to a level where i fell into a deep and strong depression. but thanx god i made it. now i love it and love canada but not as much as i love home. nobody loves anywhere else other than his home. when my mom and dad told me high skool was amazing the first day in high skool i almost went to my parents and ahouted at thier face real hard to get all the frustration out on them. instead i took it as a man. now i am very very happy. but i dont think there will be any better than grade 9. that was my favourite year. there is nothing like it in the world. we had so much fun and i did not do anything in skool and i still maneged to get an 80.

yeah all thats easy to say but its not like that in high school. At least not in real high schools (I dont know where you go), but the social structure and all that makes a child happy at that age is based around that institution and their ability to appropriate themselves to it and the people within. If that cant be done then you're fighting an uphill battle but falling in a downward spiral until that one glorious day you get to graduate and start over again from scratch at a college where people are a little more sensible :-\

I really like high school, and I am what sen classifies as a prep/nerd, but there are plenty of people just like me (being preps/nerds) so it is all fun. Of course, a lot of my time was spent studying, but I also managed to spend countless hours playing games, etc.

Of course, I really missed out on the whole social scene at high school, but I guess that's why I actually liked hs more than most people. I'm sure having gone to the prom, dances, football games, etc. would have been fun (bribing someone to go with me would have been quite a task lol), but I also realize that it would have been difficult for me to do the randomish things that I do if I was into the whole social scene.

My first day was really bad - I had no idea where I was, which class to go to next, how the cursed number pad lunch ordering system worked, etc. I still shudder thinking about it. Alas, I'm also quite upset that it will be over in a few months.

High school has been the best time of my life....for now until the next best thing comes around :)

I was (still am ;)) a big geek in high school. I started hanging out with some more 'popular' guys for a little bit there and it was an exhilarating experience - hanging around a bunch of people - going to games, going to post game parties - just being 'one of the guys' and, really, at that point not having to care about fitting in so much (at least with these guys since if I was with them I was more or less in) which, in comparison to what I was before, was just amazing. I was a dork on a popularity high. Not that I was any more popular but that feeling was nice. I didnt do that for long and ended up going back to my dorky ways, but it was something I can look back on and compare it to what I knew as normal HS life and think, "gee, I think I did miss out" - then again, not everyone gets to bag the home coming queen lol

i came to the us and started 9th grade, middle school, with hicks here in nebraska. it was horrible. i was so lost and of course, cause i didn't have a boyfriend, i was immediately proclaimed a lesbian. go figure. basically 9th grade was HELL. then when i got to high school, it was better cause i didn't give a **** about what people thought about me anymore. it was pointless to think about those things. i got involved a lot the first two years and met friends that i still have now. so from a friendship aspect, high school wasn't that bad, but from all other aspects, it sucked. college is so much better.
