what do u mean by 'meshworks'?
He means he used the gradient mesh... working with the mesh... meshworks.
Great stuff man. I'm good w/ Illustrator but I'm not good w/ the GMesh, I'm always pleased to see ppl that are able to use it... and use it really good. I especially like your clothing on your compositions.

i am very known with illustrator since version 5 i guess and i have to say nice work there. it doesn't happen much till i get facinated by some illustrator drawings.
photorealism only comes with good knowledge of your tools and patience.
i guess i don't have to tell you that :)
nice work
enikone
February 9th, 2006, 07:37 AM
Thank you nitras!
And yes you are very right about that.
its not much of artistic creativity with phototraceing..its more the "How" and the technique that plays a big part when meshing.
Offcourse the patience to.
Im glad you liked it!
Thanks for your comments!

Those are beautiful indeed. I use the Gradient Mesh quite a bit, but it never looks that great. I would love to see a shot of the mesh itself, if you're okay giving away your secrets?

If that is what you wanted you would be better off asking him to export it as a .PDF, as that support SVG and would translate perfectly.

Any chance we could see the source file? Is it possible to import this kind of stuff into Flash? I'm guessing not. I'd really like to see it in some kind of vector format, or else it kinda loses the effect/coolness of it being vector, because it basically just looks like a noise-medianed image when it's in low-res raster.

Alot of people ask about the gradient mesh tool in the drawing and design forums and it would be great if you could list a few tutorials or maybe you have any of your own so we can have them for future reference as well as put them in the BIG LIST (http://www.kirupa.com/forum/showthread.php?t=13133) of tutorials ;)
and again top notch work, thanks for the share ;)

I think there are some mesh tool tuts on illustratorworld.com or something like that. I have tried to get into meshes, but it is very frustrating for me. But I think I will try again. FOr some reason out of all the images I like the milk drop the best. Excellent work and a tutorial would be very appreciated. Maybe even a small one like making a apple or something.

I think rather this is about adding details and using gradient mest tool to the fullest all tweeks and tricks .... and beyond only the basics of gradient mesh tool....
But I think to reach here one has to be patience and hard working....
BTW... enikone how long you have been using illustrator and gradient mesh tool ?

=)
on this cat so far i have spent about 6-7 hours more or less...already .
I think the meshtool i have been into about 7-8 months or so...dont know exactly.
Illustrator i have been familliar with for almost five years...
But havent discovered the half of it yet...
i kinda suck with basic plain vectors with pentool :crying:
so when i get tired of meshing i ´ll get back to that! ;)
thanks for asking!
