deleting threads

I posted a thread in server side but then found the solution in a tutorial on an ASP dev forum so I came back here to delete the thread only to find I no longer could.....

before if you created a thread and then edited the first post in that thread you had the option to delete that post and because it was the first post in the thread, it would delete the thread too

yeah us 'normies' had the ability to delete threads we'd created.....how come not anymore?

You still can Rab. Ok click EDIT on the top message. Then it will have the editor. Below it are four buttons. Click Delete then some more options will apear click delete thsi message and it will delete the thread.

Why delete it though? Wouldn't it be more beneficial to the members to add the solution you found, so others with the same problem can benefit from the solution?

Nokrev, would you mind going into your database and deleting some of the more offensive phrases from your footer? Some of them really shouldn't be seeing the light of day.

If someone else has posted on the thread, deleting the first post is no longer an option. Could that be re-implemented?

Not going to happen (because of me). It's to prevent good threads from being deleted because the creator doesn't like the responses. :P
