Any one know the code for or method for making transparent flash movies
(with no background) ??

No... only IE on Windows machines supports Flash with Transparent backgrounds.

so if only IE on windows supports it, what would display on a mac or other operating system if you had you movie configured to be transparent??

only if they are using IE.

The color that will be displayed is the default background color of your movie (in Modify/Document)
