I need to convert a dynamic web site (PHP) to a static web site for offline viewing on a laptop. I figured Id try using an entire-site-saving app of some sort but I havent found any free ones yet. Anyone know of any? Or possibly another solution?

lol.... in Tiger, when you save a page it takes a snapshot of what you are currently seeing and saves that info in the saved file, so if your looking at a php page, the text will be in the offline file.

All browsers do that.
I'm looking for something that will be able to convert an entire dynamic site into a functional static site. That means converting all dynamic pages into static pages as well as updating links for each page so that they reference the correct static page and not the original dynamic page.

You could try one of them fancy firefox extensions. I know there's a couple of them intended for downloading entire sites. I assume it would work with dynamic sites as well, I'll see what I can dig up.

This one may work - https://addons.mozilla.org/extensions/moreinfo.php?id=201&application=firefox
And the firefox extension site just quit working on me, but see if you can check out some of the download tools, there might be on in there that can do what ya need.
