Hi everybody!

I followed the Kirupa's XML-Flash-Photogallery tutorial to create a new tutorial for a site I was building. The tutorial is great, very easy to follow and, after I had finished seting up my xml and swf, as well as formating my pictures, I realised something didn't work. The exact same file worked fine with the Kirupa's pics but not with mine.

After one hour of testing different paths, file names, etc., I found out the problem was in the formating I choose when I optimised my pictures for the web: they where set up for progressive display. As soon as I removed that option, everything just worked perfectly!!!

I just wanted to let others know about this issue and perhaps spare them some trouble. Anyway, thanks to Kirupa and everybody else

Regards

RF

Just wanted to let you know your efforts of sharing the solution was not wasted. I have had the same problem and have been pulling my hair out for two days!

In fact the problem WAS the images were optomized using progression. It dosnt seem to matter on IE6 for Windows XP or macs. But older versions of explorer wont load the images.

Thanks again, your post saved me!

I have a different problem with xml-flash-photogallery.
I had created and it worked.
But I want to use picture have different dimensions.
Example:
real dimension in flash
Mc 400x300 -------
1.pic > 200x100 200x100
2.pic > 800x600 400x300
3.pic > 1000x100 400x40
4.pic > 600x1000 180x300
there is a online example
